YSR Congress flagged off the ‘Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagananna’ program today in Andhra Pradesh. MLAs are knocking on the doors of the public in the constituency. Then, there are three steps in this program.
In the first step, they stick a big sticker with Jagan’s photo and the slogan ‘Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagananna’. In the second step, they stick another small sticker on the mobile phone of the house owner.
In the final step, the MLAs or Gruha Saradhi read out a questionnaire and take answers from the public and then, make a call to a toll-free number to record their response.
The questionnaire obviously has questions saying how Jagan is better than the previous government and how the public wants to come to power again in 2024. This exercise is happening across the state.
But then, this sounds and looks outright silly. When a party in power known for its vendetta politics came knocking at the door, it is quite obvious the public can not refuse the stickers or give real answers.
Programs like this keep rulers in dark and do not give the right feedback.
If Jagan believes this acceptance of stickers and the answers as approval of his rule, he is clearly in an illusion.
When the public goes to vote, they do not press the button in the presence of MLAs, Volunteers, or Gruha Saradhis, the results may stun and shock.
